Daa-Leen!

Dallin has been a trooper with all of my "Como se dice....." "Otra vez...." He's also very patient in correcting my mispronunciations. It's been fun speaking what little spanish has stuck with me from high school. Michael just shakes his head and laughs at me...but I've been enjoying it! Mandarin typically jumps to my mind first, but spanish slowly trickles out...

One night Dallin was saying something in Spanish...he kept laughing and giggling...couldn't get out or remember what the translation was (I asked if it was the ABC in spanish, but he said no)...but kept saying it over and over, "o o noh pe qoo" which, if you speak cantonese sounded something like this "ngoh, ngoh peih goo" (english: oh it's my bottom)....We all had a good laugh at that...

We also had fun figuring out three clues in spanish for a "secret" object to share in his classroom. and we've been trying to teach the girls how to roll their "r"s in spanish...it's not working very well...but we're having fun!!
