scene: Dinnertime...yellow pear tomatoes on the table that the kids seem to enjoy eating.
Kassi leaves the table grabbing a few, goes out of the room. Then Jessi leaves the table, taking one. Lisa, her mom, intuitively asks, "Jessi are you going to eat that?"
Jessi: "No mom, it's my pet!" (She is holding it gingerly in her hand, petting it.)
Lisa: "Put it back please."
Kassi comes back in, I see her holding her tomatoes in the same manner.
I ask: "Kassi, are you eating those? Because they are not pets."
Kassi, scowls, and puts them back.
