(I've borrowed this idea from Allison's sister...)
I was brushing Mikenna's hair this morning, and she was wimpering and saying "ouch!" I explained to her that I was trying to be gentle and since she is a girl, and most likely would want long hair, she would just have to be tough. She just said, "OK."
Later that morning, I was fixing Kaylee's 'the day after huge mess of curls gone wrong during the night thing'...and of course Kaylee was freaking out....Mikenna walked in, assessed the situation and stated very matter-a-factly, "Be tough Kaylee. Be tough ok?"
